Six origins. Six 2oz packs. One easy way to find out what you actually like.

Buying single origin coffee involves a small act of faith. You read "dark chocolate, mango and peach," you picture something, and you commit to a pound of it. This is the version where you don't have to guess.

Six of our most popular origins, enough of each for two or three good pots, and every one from a named cooperative we can tell you about.

What's inside

Brazil Santos — Medium. Smooth and chocolate-forward from the rolling hills of Sul de Minas, where farms have been in the same families for generations. The easy one.

Colombia — Medium. Dark chocolate with mango and peach arriving as it cools, from Café del Macizo in Tolima — 59 lifetime growers farming the Cordillera Central.

Costa Rica — Medium. Bright and sweet, from Coopetarrazú and its 4,650 members, whose mill processes a day's picking start to finish in just over 72 hours.

Ethiopia — Medium-light. Naturally processed heirloom varietals from Sidama at 2,000 metres, in the country where the coffee plant was found.

Honduras — Medium-dark. Apple and dark chocolate from Cerro Azul, where near-constant mist slows the cherries down and builds layered sweetness.

Tanzania — Medium-light. Peaberry beans from the Southern Highlands — cardamom and brown sugar over a tea-like body.

How to get the most out of it

Brew them the same way, on different days, black at least for the first cup. Comparing them side by side sounds thorough but mostly just tires out your palate. One at a time, a day apart, and you'll notice more.

Everything is roasted and ground the day you order and ships within 48 hours — the samples included.
