Single origin coffee in a pod, which is rarer than it should be.

Most pods contain anonymous commodity blends — convenient, and that's the whole pitch. This is the same Kintamani coffee we sell by the pound, from smallholder farmers working volcanic loam at 1,200 to 1,600 metres in the Balinese highlands.

Hand picked, wet-hulled and dried on raised beds. That wet-hulling is the Indonesian method, and it's why this drinks heavy and sweet with almost no acidity — dark chocolate and molasses with brown sugar underneath. Bourbon, Typica and Catimor varietals.

It also happens to suit a pod machine well. Low acidity and heavy body survive the short, hot, high-pressure brew that flattens more delicate coffees.
